JOIN for only $25 per year. If you are a student, then it's a mere $15. What you get: reasonable access to the most experimental art gallery in town (and a wide swath around too). Two shows per year, unjuried, unrestricted, and the rights to rent the space for your own shows at a very very low cost. A1LabArts has an uber-cool exhibition space and gallery in the Fireproof Storage building at 201 Randolph Street in Knoxville's Old City. You'd think you were in Amsterdam or in the nyc village.

If you are a member, then PAY YOUR YEARLY DUES it is SO damn cheap, really, c'mon. If you are not a member, join up and exhibit. $25 per year ($15 for student) gives you two guaranteed unjuried shows per year, plus dinner in December. VOILA. here is an example! this was made by Emma Gentry from Hillsborough, NC, who trekked to a1labarts for the pinhole photo workshop day. the pic is just around the corner, near the train tracks, and includes the soldier image tagged on the back of the neighboring building.
